Homecoming
Homecoming week is upon us (10/3 - 10/8) and APSA would like to know who wants to join us!
There are five committees that you can sign up for and the details are as follows:
- Wednesday, October 5th — 8:00am — 8:00pm at first level of PS5 (time/location tentative)
You don't have to be there the whole time.
Homecoming Schedule:
Monday, 10/3 – Talent Show (7pm-10pm) *You MUST be available at this time to participate
Tuesday, 10/4 – Scavenger Hunt (12pm-1pm) *You MUST be available at this time to participate
Wednesday, 10/5 – Red Wednesday (Wear red)/Aztecs Give Back (Blood-Drive)/Aztecs Rock Hunger (Food Drive)
Thursday, 10/6 – Parade & Pep Rally (11am-2pm) *You MUST be available at this time to participate
Saturday, 10/8 – Homecoming Football Game vs. TCU (7:30pm @ Qualcomm Stadium) *Top 3 commercials played [Tailgate @ 5pm]
There are five committees that you can sign up for and the details are as follows:
- Commercial - Create a 30-second commercial marketing “Aztec Pride” and or the Homecoming Theme “Aztecs Run Deep”. All entries will be previewed at the Talent Show. The top 3 commercials will air at the Homecoming Football Game against the TCU Horned Frogs.
- Talent Show - This is an opportunity for student teams to show-off their members who have hidden or not so hidden talents. We encourage organizations to steer away from “air-band” like acts and focus more on genuine talents such as group dance routines, singer/songwriter performances etc. You must be available Monday 10/3, 7pm-10pm to take part in the Talent Show.
- Scavenger Hunt - Each team will send a maximum of 4 members to participate in the campus wide scavenger hunt. All supplies needed to complete the ‘hunt’ will be provided to your team upon check in along with a list of clues and tasks to complete. Each task will have a different amount assigned to the task. You must be available Tuesday 10/4, 12pm-1pm to take part in the Scavenger Hunt.
- Float Decorating - Teams shall decorate a provided golf cart to be in the line-up for the Homecoming Parade with our Grand Marshall (SDSU Alumni and Football Hall of Fame award winner, Marshall Faulk).
- Wednesday, October 5th — 8:00am — 8:00pm at first level of PS5 (time/location tentative)

- Parade & Pep Rally - APSA, along with the float, will be participating in the campus-wide parade. The parade will end at the Homecoming Pep Rally! FREE games and activities will be featured at the conclusion of the rally. Be sure to stop by for FREE shwag and prizes! You must be available Thursday 10/6, 11am-2pm to take part in the parade/pep rally.
